Lesson Lists

Other Tools

You can jump to any lesson in a course by using lesson lists. You can also use the lesson lists to select novels for those units in Literature that require novels.

Lesson Lists screen

Viewing Lessons

  1. Click on the Lesson Lists tab.

  2. Click on the course name to view a list of all scheduled courses.

  3. Click on a course name from that list to display a submenu of all of the units within that course.

  4. Click on a unit number and title to display a list of lessons for that unit.

  5. Click on the lesson name to launch that lesson (if it is online).

Selecting a Novel

  1. Click on the course name to view a list of all scheduled courses.

  2. Click on “Literature” to see a submenu of all of the units within that course.

  3. If you are instructed to select a novel for a particular unit, click on the unit to bring up the list of available titles. Each unit may offer different titles. Titles that have already been completed will not appear.

  4. Select a title and click “OK” to add the title to the unit. The lessons will appear on the plan, and progress for the unit will be tracked. The novel title will also become the unit title.

If you are scheduled to teach a novel on the current day and have not yet picked a novel, you can click on the link “You need to select a novel for this unit” in the Plan. This will take you directly to the list of available titles where you can choose your novel without having to go to Lesson Lists.

Changing a Novel Selection

Until all of the lessons for the unit have been completed, you may change or remove a selected novel:

  1. On the unit’s list of lessons, click the “Change Selection” button to view a list of available titles for the unit.

  2. Select a new title (or select “No selection” if you want to remove the original title altogether).

  3. Click “OK.”

The lessons for the newly selected title will replace all unfinished lessons for the previous title in the plan. Also, the number of completed lessons will be reset in the Progress area to reflect the new selection. You must complete all of the lessons for a novel to get credit for finishing the unit.

Viewing All Novels

  1. Click on the course name to view a list of all scheduled courses.

  2. Click on “Literature” to see a submenu of all of the units within that course.

  3. At the bottom of the list, click on “Novels List” to see a submenu of all of the novel titles. Click on a title to go to the list of lessons for that title.

  4. Click the “Summary” link to see a synopsis of the novel.
