Attendance

Other Tools

The Attendance feature lets you track the amount of time each student spends per course. This information helps you determine the time required to reach each student’s academic goals. By recording the time, you can see which courses consistently require extra time and which require less of your student’s time.

Logging Attendance

The current date appears on the Attendance screen. If you want to record teaching hours for the current date, answer “Yes” to “Did you teach today?” This allows you to record minutes for each course. Selecting “No” sets the minutes for each course to 0. If you have already submitted your student’s attendance for the current date, this question is not displayed; you may only review the record.

To record the minutes for a course, click on the checkbox to the left of the course name. The box to the right of the course will automatically fill with  the number of minutes associated with the course (if that information exists). If you need to change the number of minutes, click in the box and type the correct number. Note that as you record the minutes for a subject, the total hours and minutes are calculated and displayed on the right side of the screen.

To look at a different month, click the forward or backward arrows. You may also click "Change Date" to select a specific date you want to view.

When you are finished, click the “Submit” button to store the information.

Viewing Missing Attendance

  1. Click on “missing attendance” to view the dates for which you have not recorded attendance.

  2. Select a date. The Attendance screen for that date will display.

  3. Follow the instructions for logging attendance.
